چکیده
We present a study of fits to exclusive ${B}^{0}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\ell}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\nu}}_{\ensuremath{\ell}}$ measurements for the determination Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element magnitude $|{V}_{cb}|$, based on most recent Belle untagged measurement. Results are obtained with Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and Boyd-Grinstein-Lebed (BGL) form factor parametrizations, without inclusion preliminary lattice QCD (LQCD) factors at nonzero hadronic recoil from JLQCD Collaboration. The CLN BGL also studied in different scenarios reduced theoretical assumptions higher-order expansions, respectively. To avoid bias high systematic error correlations, we employ novel technique field $B$-physics phenomenology toy Monte Carlo method using Cholesky decomposition covariance matrix. Using additional input calculations recoil, collaboration JLQCD, allows well-defined fit results model dependence BGL. consistent between configurations, ultimately providing more model-independent measurement $|{V}_{cb}|$. LQCD inputs assuming value $\mathcal{F}(1)=0.904\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.012$, find $|{V}_{cb}|=(38.48\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.32\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.97\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.46)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$ BGL(2,2,2) $(38.42\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.35\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.05\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.46)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$ CLNnoHQS, where errors statistical, systematic, related $\mathcal{F}(1)$,

Qcd Fits to Diffraction ∗
The most recent H1 and ZEUS data for diffractive structure functions are analyzed under three different theoretical approaches. This includes the Pomeron Structure Function (PSF) framework, Bartels-Ellis-Kowalski-Wüsthoff (BEKW) color dipole approach and the Golec-Biernat-Wüsthoff (GBW) saturation model. The models are shown to successfully fit the set of combined data. Conceptual differences b...
متن کاملSnap Fits and Press Fits
The " ideal " plastic assembly would have all components joined right in the molding shop. Press or snap fitted together by operators at the machine, finished products would be ready for packaging and shipment. While assembly operations in the automotive , machinery or appliance industries are usually a bit more complex, subassemblies frequently will employ snap and press fits—especially when a...
متن کاملStatus of global fits to neutrino oscillations
We review the present status of global analyses of neutrino oscillations, taking into account the most recent neutrino data including the latest KamLAND and K2K updates presented at Neutrino2004, as well as state-of-the-art solar and atmospheric neutrino flux calculations. We give the two-neutrino solar + KamLAND results, and the two-neutrino atmospheric + K2K oscillation regions, discussing in...
متن کاملPulsation model fits to MOST photometry
The G9.5 giant ǫ Oph shows evidence of radial p-mode pulsations in both radial velocity and luminosity. We re-examine the observed frequencies in the photometry and radial velocities and find a best model fit to 18 of the 21 most significant photometric frequencies. The observed frequencies are matched to both radial and nonradial modes in the best model fit. The small scatter of the frequencie...
متن کاملREACT Fits to Linear Models and Scatterplots
REACT estimators for the mean of a linear model involve three steps: transforming the model to a canonical form that provides an economical representation of the unknown mean vector, estimating the risks of a class of candidate linear shrinkage estimators, and adaptively selecting the candidate estimator that minimizes estimated risk. When the mean vector is smooth, the desired canonical form o...
